Adopt-A-Defib Terms & Conditions Building Customer Relationships
We understand that investing in a Defibrillator is an important decision. Adopt-A-Defib builds customer relationships by personally contacting all clients so we can ensure you are selecting the appropriate package to suit your needs. This personal contact also allows you an opportunity to upgrade the package inclusions for a not-for-profit price if this better suits your environment, e.g. the package standard Steel Wall Cabinet upgraded to an Alarmed Steel Wall Cabinet. To receive a not-for-profit upgrade price this must be done at the time of ordering. Please take time to read our terms and conditions which outlines steps of the ordering and investment process.
Adopt-A-Defib package is a lifesaving, not-for-profit initiative created by Training You First Aid. Supporting businesses, clubs and schools by making public access Defibrillators affordable, clearly visible and easily accessible for an all inclusive price – a complete package.

Payment
After ordering, you will receive an email confirmation with tax invoice containing your order details with the Defib package inclusions. Please ensure that the email address you have provided us is correct. Payment is required on receipt of invoice prior to goods being shipped. Therefore all orders must be pre-paid before fulfilment. All orders are placed in Australian dollars. Payment is by electronic funds transfer into our nominated bank account, details will be included on the tax invoice.
Following payment of the purchase price being received by Adopt-A-Defib, you will be issued with shipping confirmation and a tax receipt to confirm that the payment has been received.
The package not-for-profit price reflects the purchase price for one (1) or two (2) Defibrillator package only. Should you wish to purchase three (3) or more Defibrillator packages in one order, please email angie@adoptadefib.org for a formal quotation with pricing to reflect a volume order purchase.

Delivery Policy
Our Defibrillator packages are dispatched directly from the manufacturer via Courier with tracking and insurance. Discounts, promotions or offers must be agreed verbally by Adopt-A-Defib for conditions and confirmation.
We will attempt to send your goods via Courier with online tracking the next business day. You must have a physical address for delivery (if there are multiple delivery addresses please ensure all are listed for the order). No deliveries are made to a post office box number.
Adopt-A-Defib cannot accept any responsibility for any items damaged or stolen once left by the Courier driver.
Post Delivery
An Adopt-A-Defib representative will place a courtesy follow up phone call on receipt of your Defib package to confirm; all package items are received, to ensure the device is rescue ready, assist with warranty card registration and client satisfaction. Adopt-A-Defib cannot accept any responsibility for missing items where clients decline our complimentary rescue ready set up | information phone session on receipt of goods.
Refund & Return Policy
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is classified as a medical product. If packaging is opened, it is not refundable. Please email us at angie@adoptadefib.org within 24 hours if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems. In the case of purchase of a physical product from Adopt-A-Defib which satisfies one or more of the following cases we will gladly arrange a replacement of the product from the manufacturers:
- The product proves faulty within the warranty period
- The product does not match its description as provided when sold
- The product received is not the product ordered
- The product has been damaged in transit
Please contact us immediately if any of the above occurs to arrange return and a replacement with the Australian Master Distributor, Aero Healthcare.
This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken.
Adopt-A-Defib cannot accept any responsibility for any items damaged or stolen once left by the Courier driver.
Following payment of the purchase price being received by Adopt-A-Defib, you will be issued with a receipt to confirm that the payment has been received. On issue of this payment receipt Adopt-A-Defib as a not-for-profit initiative does not give a refund or replacement if a customer simply changes their mind about our product or any of the package inclusions. We ask that you choose carefully.
Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), the customer is only entitled to choose a refund or replacement for a major problem with a product covered by consumer guarantees.
In order to make a Consumer Guarantee claim, you must contact us at angie@adoptadefib.org with:
(a) proof of purchase showing the date of purchase of the Defibrillator; and
(b) reason for your Consumer Guarantee claim.
Adopt-A-Defib will review your Consumer Guarantee claim, liaise with the Australian Master Distributor, Aero Healthcare, and will get back to you within five (5) business days.
OTHER THAN THE ABOVE LIST ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Products returned without prior notice will be rejected. Please ensure that returned products are safely packed in their original packaging.

Manufacturer’s Warranty & Australian Consumer Law
HeartSine Defibrillators and Physio-Control LIFEPAK® CR2 are provided with applicable voluntary manufacturer warranties. Adopt-A-Defib does not offer any voluntary warranty in relation to the HeartSine Defibrillators and Physio-Control LIFEPAK® CR2 .
You agree and acknowledge that an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a medical product and if it is opened or PAD-Pak™ connected, it is not refundable.
You acknowledge that the delivery of the Defibrillator package will be organised by the applicable manufacturer through the use of third party delivery companies.
You acknowledge that Adopt-A-Defib does not provide the delivery services to you and you agree that Adopt-A-Defib will not be liable to you for any direct, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of profit or opportunity, or damage to goodwill arising out of or in connection with the delivery.
In any event, HeartSine Samaritan® Defibrillators and Physio-Control LIFEPAK® CR2 come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have a Defibrillator repaired or replaced if the Defibrillator fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure (the Consumer Guarantee).
Warranty Exclusions
Replacement Defibrillators under warranty will be replaced at no cost. HeartSine and Physio-Control or its Australian Master Distributor, Aero Healthcare, are not obliged to replace or repair under warranty if one or more of the following conditions apply: The device has been opened. Unauthorised modifications have been made. The device has not been used in accordance with the instructions provided in the manual. The serial number has been removed, defaced, altered or, by any other means, made unreadable. The device has been used or stored outside its indicated temperature range. The device has been tested using unapproved methods or inappropriate equipment.
Minimum Age and Legal Capacity
Purchasing products or services from Adopt-A-Defib is restricted to individuals 18 years of age or older. Individuals below the age of 18 may have purchases made on their behalf by a parent or guardian. Therefore you promise to us you are old enough to enter legally binding contracts and you know you will be responsible for all payments due to us for services and products made by you or another person using your information.
Accuracy of Product Description
All products and services listed are described to the best of our abilities within manufactures recommended retail price and using the information available to us at the time. Care is taken to ensure that this information is correct, but we cannot eliminate the possibility of:
- Human error in entry of information
- Failure of the Manufacturer and Australian Master Distributor, Aero Healthcare to supply updated information to us
- We reserve the right to change any information including but not limited to pricing, specifications, descriptions, or product names without notice.
Adopt-A-Defib will make every effort to ensure a Defibrillator package is accurately depicted on Our Website, however, you acknowledge that actual sizes, colours and packaging may differ from what is displayed on Our Website.
Modification of Terms
We may change these terms and conditions at any time without advance notice. Changed terms will become effective once posted on Our Website, and will not have any retrospective effect on existing contractual arrangements made through Our Website. Your continued use of Our Website after any change means you have accepted the changed terms and conditions.

Adopt-A-Defib takes your privacy seriously and any personal information collected through your purchase of a Defibrillator package is subject to Adopt-A-Defib’s Privacy Policy. In selling you a Defibrillator package, we are obligated to pass certain personal information directly to the manufacturer.
Email Management, Collection of Personal Information
Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be disclosed, without your consent. Your email address will only be utilised in response to your requests. It will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to our or any external mailing list without your authority. If you are asked for any other personal information you will be informed how it will be used if you choose to give it. If at any time you believe the principles referred to in this privacy statement have not been followed, or have any other comments on these principles, please notify angie@adoptadefib.org

All HeartSine Samaritan® Defibrillators and Physio-Control LIFEPAK CR2 are approved by the TGA
